Venturing

2008 marks the 10th anniversary of the Venturing Program. In order to celebrate the CR-4 Venturing Officers Association has designated two events as Area-wide celebrations:

Sea Scout Rendezvous August 15-17, Alum Creek

Area 4 Venturing Camporee, October 17 -19, Camp Birch, Yellow Springs Ohio (south of Springfield), Tecumseh Council

Put these dates on your calendar.

The Area 4 Venturing Camporee is being planned by the CR-4 VOA and Tecumseh Council.  We will send out more details after the first of the year, but put the date on your Crew calendar.

Just a reminder that the 2007 Council Standards of Venturing Excellence Award application is due ion the Regional Office by February 15. Here is where you can find the application: http://www.crventuring.org/Other/Council_Standards_of_Venturing_Excellence/

If you do not qualify in 2007, let's make this a high priority in 2008.  It's not a priority in order to get another award, but it is a measure of offering a quality Venturing program.

For more information about the Venturing Program in the Erie Shores Council, contact Staff Advisor Joel Moszkowicz at 419/800 241-7293 or email erieshores@bsamail.org
