  • New Eagle Scout Scholarship Application - Applications for the 2011 NESA Eagle Scout Scholarships are now available at www.nesa.org. The home page features a blue, clickable banner that leads directly to the forms. These are the only scholarship applications acceptable in 2011. Applications must be printed and mailed to the National Office, postmarked no later than midnight on January 31, 2011.

• Geocaching Merit Badge: These are the final requirements for the Geocaching Merit Badge. This merit badge is a natural extension of the navigational components of Boy Scout rank advancements and offers the opportunity for Scouts to learn the latest in digital tools to extend that knowledge in a fun, active outdoor experience.
  
  

  The merit badge emblem and pamphlet are still under development. We will update you when those items are finalized and we have a handle on when they are anticipated to be in local council service centers. Once we can see that timing more clearly, we will establish the earn date so advancement can be entered.

COUNCIL EAGLE SCOUT CSP'S. You can purchase a special council shoulder patch for your Eagle Scout. Erie Shores Council Eagle Scouts qualify for the red border. Any Eagle Scout can purchase the white border patch, and the gold border CSP's will be available this fall for those who earn the rank of Eagle Scout during 2010. Check out the informational flyers and the collector's patches (with misspelling). Patches can be purchased at the Council Scout Shop store.
